If you carry a handgun you need this class.

 

The average self-defense encounter lasts less than 3 seconds. Reaction time is critical to survival.

​

This class is intended to develop mindset and the basic skills needed for survival.

I conduct weekly Pistol 2 classes by appointment. You will leave this class better prepared to survive a self-defense encounter. 

​

Class sizes are limited to 4 students or less to allow for a more personal experience.

The class runs 3 hours.

​

Before taking this class, you need to be proficient at fundamental pistol skills to include firearm safety, loading and shooting. If you do not have these fundamental skills our Pistol 1 Class will prepare you for this class.

Things to know before attending class.

4 basic firearm safety rules:

  • Treat All Guns as Though They are Loaded.

  • Always Keep the Firearm Pointed in a Safe direction. Never point your gun at anything you do not intend to shoot.

  • Keep Your Finger Off the Trigger until You are Ready to Shoot.

  • Always Be Sure of Your Target and What's Beyond It.

What to do before you fire your gun:​

  • Take up the Slack.

  • Find your Front Site.

  • Make the decision to shoot or not.

  • Trigger press if needed.

  •  

This class will include:

  • Review firearm safety.

  • Safe loading and unloading of your pistol.

  • Proper mindset and attitude.

  • Carry position which dictates holster selection.

  • Draw stroke and accurate shot placement.

  • Reloading and malfunction drills.

  • Trigger control.

What you need to bring:

  • A .22 caliber or larger semi-automatic pistol clean, oiled and in safe working order UNLOADED AND IN A CASE.

  • A holster, magazine carrier attached to holster or belt and least 2 magazines. 

  • 200 rounds of ammunition minimum (more is better) in correct caliber for your gun.

  • Baseball cap recommended.

  • Safety/shooting glasses and hearing/ear protection mandatory.

  • Sturdy footwear that covers the entire foot. No sandals or open toe shoes.

  • No low-cut tops or blouses. Hot brass will burn.
