Pistol Orientation

Location: Shady Grove Baptist Church 3507 FM 499 Campbell, TX 75422. Doors open at 7:30am class starts at 8:00. For more information call Brett at 972-814-7224. Please bring a lunch, refrigerator available. Due to our location there is no place close to eat. Lunch will be 30 minutes long.
NRA FIRST Steps Pistol is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of five or fewer students. This course is at least three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type.

Students will learn:

The NRA rules for safe gun handling.

The particular pistol model parts and operation
-
Ammunition types.

Shooting fundamentals.

Shooting from bench rest positions.
-
Cleaning pistols.
-
Safe storage of pistols and ammunition.

Plus continued opportunities for skill development.
Students Receive:

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook.

NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure.
-
The Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet.

A course certificate upon completion.

Students need:

A semi-automatic pistol or revolver. Smaller calibers are better to learn with.

100 rounds of ammunition in the correct caliber for each pistol/revolver you bring. No reloaded ammunition.

Pen, Note pad and Highlighter.
